Community Council
The Community Council provides a chance for program staff and community members to come together in order to network, exchange resources and discuss a hot topic each month that relates to their ability to work with youth in our community. These working lunch meetings provide a chance for those that work with youth to problem solve, make new connections and find out about new opportunities.
Why should I attend a Community Council meeting?
- Network with other community members and program staff
- Stay informed about local programs, events and opportunities
- Spread the word about future programs, events and opportunities
- Discuss topics of interest that affect your work
- Problem solve and exchange ideas with others that work with youth
When and where does the Community Council meet?
The Community Council meets the last Monday of every month from 12-1:30pm. Unless otherwise noted, the Council meets at the United Communities Houston Center at 2029 S. 8th St. Lunch and refreshments are provided at every meeting.
