Teen Lounges

All youth are welcome to enjoy our Teen Lounges free of cost and commitment so check them out!  Our Teen Lounges, which are drop-in centers for youth,  operate out of Caring People Alliance at South Philadelphia Fels Community Center, Fleisher Art Memorial and the United Communities - Houston Center. Youth can always stop by for safe and fun afterschool activities and hang-out space.  Come over and watch movies, try break-dancing, play board games, do art projects, play basketball and much more!

Teen Lounge Collaborations

The Fleisher Art Memorial has designed a series of public art projects for teen lounges in Southeast Philadelphia, to take place from Summer 2011 – Spring 2012. The projects are designed to teach students a new creative skill or technique, give them an opportunity to work closely with a professional artist, and engage teens with varying levels of arts experience in a collaborative process. These “public interventions” are all temporary, large scale projects created in outdoor or public space that create a surprising, visually exciting, or thought-provoking experience for people passing by.  These projects are a collaboration between teen lounges from SEPC, Fleisher and Caring People Alliance.
